What the results tell us for Snowy River
Socio-economic equity is related to assessment of income and employment within the local government area and how they vary, for example, with age, gender, geographically and between households. It also relates to matters such as the proportion of the population dependent on government payments, including on age pensions, the proportion of children in families with no employed parents, the proportion of income spent on housing and other factors related to the distribution of wealth in the community and the implications of this.
